a) shape the opinion of potential buyers about you;
b) increase the rating on the platform and the visibility of the store in the general search results;
c) are a powerful marketing tool.

For example, the order arrived on time, fully assembled, and the customer liked everything - he gives 5 stars. But after 2 weeks it turns out that the product does not meet the declared quality (something fell off, paint peeled off, seams came apart, etc.) - the person has the right to change the review to a negative one in order to warn the seller and other buyers about such a fact.

How to Get Positive Customer Reviews
In fact, the seller does not have many tools to solve such a problem. More precisely, only two:

1. Postcards with an order asking to share impressions of the purchase (you can also add discount coupons, which will increase the chance of the client's favor).

2. A direct request to take a few minutes and help the store become better and develop.

It is important to remember that people leave reviews only when they have received some kind of emotion. That is, it is not enough for the product to simply match the description and for the delivery to be completed on time. Therefore, a great solution would be to add some unexpected cute gifts to the order: hairpins, magnets, pens, sweets - something that will cause a wow effect, but at the same time will have an insignificant impact on the cost.

Packaging is also important - try to make it as high-quality and interesting as possible, even for inexpensive goods. Brand the box, add interesting filling (glitter, foam hearts, foam balls, etc.).

Often the reason for negativity is not the product itself, but the attitude of the seller (personal service). So, in the example below, the buyer complains that he had to wait a very long time for answers from the store.

Take this fact into account and try to provide active customer support both during and after the purchase.

Working with negativity
Unfortunately, sometimes you can't guess why a customer gives you a low rating. For example, the product was liked (absolutely beautiful!), but the person rated it 4 stars without a clear comment.

The key in these situations is to stay calm and resist the temptation to write a negative emotional response. Remember that even a negative review can be an opportunity to improve your business and highlight areas that need improvement.

If the buyer makes specific claims, offer a solution. This could be a refund, an exchange of goods, or a discount on the next purchase.

Advice! Do not rush to respond to negative reviews immediately. As we wrote above, after your response, the buyer will no longer be able to change the review. Therefore, it is better to try to “negotiate” through personal communication and resolve any misunderstandings that have arisen.
